- High quality, printed to order using PLA. Polylactic Acid (PLA) is a type of 100% food safe polyester made from fermented plant starch from corn, cassava, maize, sugarcane or sugar beet pulp. The sugars found in these renewable materials are fermented and turned into lactic acid, which is then made into PLA.
